Stefanik Trail 140

STEFANIK TRAIL, traditionally routed from the Cairn of Milan Rastislav Štefánik on the peak of Bradlo through the Little Carpathians to Štefánik’s statue on the Bratislava embankment, is one of the toughest Slovak long distance runs. The event pays tribute to the story of survival of the national hero, whose plane broke down in 1915 in Serbia (enemy territory at the time) and had to embark on a 120 km march to safety. Over 750 people from 10 countries, a new record number of participants, have put to the test their abilities this year and set out to conquer the more than 140 km run.

The awards and prizes for the winners were presented by the members of the Štefánik family. Traditionally during the event a public financial collection for the children's mobile hospice of the non-profit organization Plamienok takes place as well. The organizer of the run is the civic association Vestigum and the event is held under the auspices of the Ambassador of the French Republic in Slovakia, the Mayor of the City of Bratislava, and Mayor of Bratislava-Staré Mesto.

Aliter Technologies has become the proud general partner of the event this year and the company has even presented its own relay for the second time.
