Aliter Technologies was a proud general sponsor of the event in honour of M. R. Štefánik

One of the most difficult long-distance races in Slovakia, STEFANIK TRAIL, started this year from the Milan Rastislav Štefánik cairn on Bradlo through the Little Carpathians to his statue on the Bratislava embankment.

Every year the event reminds us of the lifesaving of this important Slovak, who in 1915 had to burn his plane in enemy territory and set off for safety. This year’s event introduced for the first time the Running Film Festival, which took place on Thursday, June 6, 2019 in the M. R. Štefánik Square in Bratislava.

This year, a record number of 835 runners from 10 countries ran more than 140 kilometers long track. Another novelty this year was a new discipline in the form of ultra-relay, as well as a change of route at the end of the race – running ultra-runners through the historic center of Bratislava. The medal was awarded to winners by Miroslav Rastislav Štefánik’s family members.

The event is held under the auspices of the Ambassador of the French Republic in Slovakia, the Mayor of the Capital City of Bratislava and the Mayor of the Bratislava-Staré Mesto District. Aliter Technologies, which became the proud general partner of the event this year, has sent its Aliter Technologies team to the mountains for the third time. During the event, the public financial collection for the children’s mobile hospice of the non-profit organization Plamienok was traditionally held, collecting a record of more than 8,700 €.
