Flying with drones – better safe than sorry

Aliter Technologies sponsored a seminar on unmanned aerial vehicle regulation under the auspices of the Slovak Association of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and Systems (UAVAS).

Unmanned aerial vehicles, including drones, have a wide range of usage, whether used for private or public purposes. While it is important to innovate the technology used in these devices and to expand the range of their use, it is important to keep in mind that they carry some safety risks, such as the injuries caused by misuse, flight restrictions due to aerial regulation or other threats. Therefore, it is important to discuss the unmanned aerial vehicles regulation, introduce an appropriate level of control and provide a dialogue between the representatives of manufacturers and users of drones and government authorities setting regulatory conditions.

For the reasons stated above, a seminar organized by the Slovak Association of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and Systems (UAVAS) took place last Friday, November 23, in Piešťany. The event focused on the professional operation of unmanned aerial vehicles in the Slovak Republic. Aliter Technologies sponsored the seminar and our colleagues from Special Systems Division visited it and, along with other professionals, discussed the possibilities and regulations of flying with unmanned aerial vehicles in Slovakia, including the ones from our product portfolio.
