Embedded Developer - Linux & VoIP

What will be your role?

• Configuring, modifying, and optimizing the Linux operating system kernel for embedded devices;

• Creating and managing custom Linux distributions using the Yocto Project / OpenEmbedded (recipes, layers, BSP);

• Configuring, developing, and optimizing VoIP solutions built on Asterisk, DAHDI, and pjsip;

• Diagnosing and resolving technical issues at the HW/SW interface level (bring-up of new platforms, driver debugging);

• Collaborating with the hardware team on testing and product commissioning;

• Creating and maintaining technical documentation for the solutions developed;

The position is suitable for candidates with education:

• Secondary school with a school-leaving exam

Field of study:

• Secondary/university technical field - computer science, electrical engineering, telecommunications, or equivalent experience

Language skills:

• English - Intermediate (B1) and Slovak - Expert (C2)

Years of experience:

• 3

Driving license:

• Category B

Professional experience (must-have):

• Min. 3–5 years of experience developing for embedded Linux;

• Practical experience with the Yocto Project / OpenEmbedded – creating and maintaining custom recipes and layers, working with BitBake;

• Knowledge of Linux kernel configuration and compilation – device drivers, device tree, cross-compilation;

• Experience with Asterisk – dialplan, modules, AMI/AGI; experience with DAHDI and pjsip/chan_pjsip is an advantage;

• Production-level programming in C/C++, scripting in Bash and/or Python;

• Ability to independently diagnose issues at the HW/SW interface (debugging; experience with a logic analyzer/oscilloscope is a plus);

Base salary (gross) and other rewards

From 2,600 EUR/month. The stated salary represents the minimum level; the final salary will be adjusted based on the individual skills and experience of the candidate.
