HACKFEST 2026

Hackfest 2026 is an international ethical hacking competition and a meeting of students focused on cybersecurity. The event responds to the growing and increasingly sophisticated cyber threats and provides a platform for competition, knowledge sharing, and connecting theory with practice.

At Hackfest 2026, Ľubomír Sládek, UAV Team Lead at Aliter Technologies, delivered an expert talk entitled:

DRONES 2026 – From Hardware to Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence

Today, drones are no longer just flying cameras – they are sophisticated flying computers equipped with sensors, data networks, artificial intelligence, and high security requirements. The lecture demonstrated how hardware, software, networking, and cybersecurity are interconnected in real-world practice.

Lecture topics:

  • Drone hardware – design, aerodynamics, electronics, and power sources

  • Network communication – radio, satellite, metallic, and optical networks

  • Artificial intelligence on board the drone

  • Drone cybersecurity – from GPS jamming to encrypted control and communication protocols

  • Programming and the software-defined approach

  • Legislation and practical use of drones within the European Union

  • Technology showcase, including a demonstration of a mobile drone control center
