The 70th anniversary edition of the international cycling race Okolo Slovenska took place from 16 to 20 September 2026. Over five stages, professional cyclists from 28 countries and four continents covered a total distance of 849 kilometres across Slovakia. Aliter Technologies was there as a main partner of the event.

Five Stages Across Slovakia

Over five days, the peloton travelled through several regions of Slovakia. Each stage brought a different route and set of conditions, from city circuits to challenging mountain sections.

  • 16 September | Stage 1: Košice – Košice (163.5 km)

  • 17 September | Stage 2: Levoča – Liptovský Mikuláš (187.2 km)

  • 18 September | Stage 3: Tvrdošín – Dohňany (196.0 km)

  • 19 September | Stage 4: Beluša – Trnava (160.3 km)

  • 20 September | Stage 5: Sliač – Kráľova hoľa (142.0 km)

Connecting the IT Sector with Professional Sport

For Aliter Technologies, supporting professional sport is a natural part of our corporate activities. We share the focus on performance, endurance and the ability to push our own limits, both in technology and on the race track.

We followed the race directly along the route and at the finish, particularly during the longest stage from Tvrdošín to Dohňany. As one of the main partners of the event, we had the honour of presenting the Best Slovak Rider jersey to Samuel Novák following the stage.

70 Years of the Okolo Slovenska Race

This year's race was also special because of its anniversary. Okolo Slovenska celebrated 70 years of history, during which a domestic cycling race developed into an international sporting event.

To mark the occasion, we worked with the magazine Historická Revue to make an article covering the full history of the race available to the public.

How has Okolo Slovenska changed over the past 70 years? Which personalities and moments have shaped its history? And how did an originally domestic race become an event attracting international participation?

New Era of Critical Infrastructure Protection

Traditional protection in the form of fences, cameras, and physical security is no longer enough today. Hybrid threats, drones, and cyberspace attacks are changing the rules of the game. The targets are no longer just military facilities, but also energy, transport, healthcare, and water utilities. In a video interview for TREND magazine, Imrich Petruf, Chief Defense Advisor, explains how the concept of modern defense is changing and what role our technologies play in it.

The Cyber Resilience Act in 5 Steps

The EU Cyber Resilience Act (Cyber Resilience Act – CRA) brings a major change: unlike the Cybersecurity Act, which focuses on organisations, the CRA applies directly to products with digital elements.
