How do we prepare information and communication systems for equipment deployed in operations, and what role does artificial intelligence play in the tactical cloud? Modern warfare and national security are undergoing their greatest transformation in decades. Unmanned aerial systems (UAS), counter-UAS systems (C-UAS), and rapid data exchange now decide the success of tactical operations.

At this year's DRONTEX 2026 expert conference, held under the patronage of the Ministry of Transport of the Slovak Republic, Imrich Petruf, Chief Defence Advisor at Aliter Technologies, delivered a presentation. As part of the specialized session “UAS and cUAS as an Integrated Part of National Security: Security of / by / from Drones”, he presented on the topic “The Digital Battlefield: Limits and Solutions”.

“The digital battlefield is limited by physical constraints. The solution is to change how we prepare ICT systems for combat equipment and to use AI-supported automated processes in a tactical cloud environment,” explains Imrich Petruf, Chief Defence Advisor at Aliter Technologies.
