AI Cybersecurity
At the Check Point Advantage Slovakia 2026 conference, a panel discussion entitled CyberWars Powered by AI took place. Instead of traditional lectures, it featured a simulation of an AI-powered incident that unfolded step-by-step in front of the audience. Aliter Technologies was represented on the panel by Michal Srnec, Head of Information Security.

What is Check Point Advantage Slovakia 2026?

Check Point Advantage Slovakia is a cybersecurity conference organized by Check Point Software Technologies. The 2026 edition was held under the motto We Secure Your AI Transformation.

The program focused on key areas driving organizational security today:

  • AI Security and protection against AI threats

  • Cloud and Hybrid Mesh Network Security

  • Workspace Security, Exposure Management, and defense automation

  • Real customer use cases and the latest technologies

CyberWars Powered by AI: A Panel Discussion Beyond Theory

The panel discussion followed the format of an AI-powered incident simulation. Rather than discussing threats in general terms, the participants addressed a concrete scenario unfolding step-by-step before the audience, each from their respective expert perspective (GDPR lawyer, ethical hacker, CISO, etc.).

Simulation Scenario: In the morning, we discover that a data leak has occurred from the Slovak Business Register. The leaked data includes names, contact details, and other corporate information. Someone has already downloaded the data. We do not know who, nor what they will do with it. We only know that we cannot get it back.

Note: This was a fictional scenario prepared specifically for the discussion, not an actual incident.

Questions Directed at Michal Srnec

Michal Srnec, Head of Information Security, joined the simulation on behalf of Aliter Technologies. The questions he received focused on real-world security management decisions:

Preparedness Before the First Attack

If you discover that people from your company are included in the leaked data, what do you do before the first fraudulent message arrives?

Verification of Requests

The simulation moved to a company whose employees were targeted based on the obtained data. Which requests must an employee verify through an independent channel, even if the message appears trustworthy?

AI Speed vs. Human Decision-Making

Today, AI selects suitable targets, generates personalized content, and helps scale attacks. At the same time, it analyzes communication, user behavior, endpoints, and network activity. Are we reaching a point where the speed of an AI attack surpasses human decision-making capabilities? And a point where humans no longer even make the decision to execute the attack?

Delegating Tasks to a Defensive Agent

Which tasks can realistically be delegated to a defensive agent? The defense system proposes immediately blocking the CFO's account just as the company is completing a critical payment. Suspicion is high, but the full picture is not yet clear. Would you allow such an automated intervention? Who should pre-configure such permissions, and under what rules?

Final Question

The data is still circulating. The phishing infrastructure can be blocked and accounts reset, but the attacker retains the data. Each panelist was asked one final question: If you could change one thing in your company after today, what would it be?

Why Are These Questions Important for Slovak Companies?

The simulation demonstrated that in a data leak, the incident does not end with blocking the attacker's infrastructure. Organizations must have pre-established:

  • Data breach response procedures that can be triggered before the first fraudulent email or message arrives.

  • Verification rules specifying which requests (e.g., payments or changes to records) must be confirmed via an independent channel.

  • The boundary between automation and human decision-making, including who can authorize automated defensive actions and when.

The key question of the AI era is not whether to use AI in security, but where automation ends and human judgment must take over.

Aliter Technologies and Information Security
